Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Chap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Yucatan F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Segio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Yucatan F.C. defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Chap. The Yucatan F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Chap should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Yucatan F.C.'s Rafael Frichoso shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Yucatan F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eleuterio Oxel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Chap was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yucatan F.C.'s Candido Segio got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Candido Segio off the ground. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Calvino to make the kick off. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Chap having to interfere. After 56 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Chap was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 65 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hector Chap read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Chap. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Hector Chap in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Hector Chap skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 79th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Hector Chap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of the match. Eleuterio Oxel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Chap. That made the score 1-6 in the 85 minute of play. Guillermo Mariano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Chap having to interfere. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Hector Chap when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yucatan F.C. throughout the match.
