Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jorge Ramalho. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Vides in the 23rd minute of the match. When Pedro Luís Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Luís Eduardo Garcia in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Eduardo Garcia made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. Rasgun Cool might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rasgun Cool ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ursino Fuente came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Guadalupe FC - CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ursino Fuente couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Luís Eduardo Garcia. Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
