An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Felix Montenegro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 81st minute Rıdvan Vacip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luz Palacios short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Buğra Gazzali to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's goalkeeper Buğra Gazzali, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Buğra Gazzali was a little too slow when Luz Palacio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-10. After some careless play in the S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Buğra Gazzali. The S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Buğra Gazzali should have stopped the shot. Buğra Gazzali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
