Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Youri Djorkaeff took the kick off in the first half of the match. Guillaume Minier kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Avel Vat's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Pasquier came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Youri Djorkaeff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Avel Vat's Malcom Vrignon got a free kick in the 12th minute. Geoffrey Estienne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmond Kubiak's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Danny Pasquier came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danny Pasquier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Avel Vat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Danny Pasquier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Pasquier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Avel Vat's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Minier in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 47th minute of play forced Avel Vat's goalkeeper Danny Pasquier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Danny Pasquier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Avel Vat's Danny Pasquier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Avel Vat from getting a goal against them. Danny Pasquier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 56th minute. Danny Pasquier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 62nd minute. After 74 minutes, Edmond Kubiak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avel Vat and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmond Kubiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Avel Vat's goalkeeper Danny Pasquier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 78th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Danny Pasquier was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Danny Pasquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmond Kubiak in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Danny Pasquier in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Danny Pasquier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After having played for 90 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Danny Pasquier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
