Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Camilo Gaos with Tomas Illescas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The throw-in from Joshua Secada in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Mugur Alexandrescu. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nechifor Cosoroabă in the 12th minute of play. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Panaiteanu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Avram Panaiteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salvador Gisbert made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Mugur Alexandrescu. Avram Panaiteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ioan Mereacre quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's attentive Petru Marioteanu managed to snatch the ball when Guillermo Mariano made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Avram Panaiteanu came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 minutes, Boro Doro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, Boro Doro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salvador Gisbert made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Patricio Costa. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Panaiteanu having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Batalionul U23 Dorobanti booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Avram Panaiteanu in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Panaiteanu having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Avram Panaiteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Avram Panaiteanu made a huge save. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Patricio Costa scored to the left of an out of position Avram Panaiteanu, making the score, 0-1. Rigoberto Mina made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. 82 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Avram Panaiteanu, 0-2. Avram Panaiteanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 85 minute of play. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Lucian Baran was substituted for Narcis Cazacu. If Lucian Baran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Batalionul U23 Dorobanti throughout the match.
