Nilton Marinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Gabriel Mendes in the 18th minute of the match. After 18 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Real Brasil F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Rosado in the 23rd minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Mendes's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Gabriel Mendes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Panama booed when Real Brasil F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. If Isidoro Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Abraham Alguacil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Nilton Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 39th minute of play forced Real Brasil F.C.'s goalkeeper Nilton Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 minutes Real Brasil F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abraham Alguacil who took care of the corner kick. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nilton Marinho in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Real Brasil F.C.'s zone, Tomas Berganza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilton Marinho came out of the goal and Tomas Berganza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isidoro Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Nilton Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panama.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, William de Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Brasil F.C. and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card.
