Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Björk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 14th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Ekström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zdzislaw Barniszke made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Milagros Fraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wiktor Ekström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Örjan Björk went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 24 minutes into the game, Åsbro Flåsegutter's Örjan Björk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Alonso Berganza made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Moises Gayoso immediately put the ball in play. Wiktor Ekström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Björk came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Örjan Björk's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Peru's Joaquin Prats managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stig Bäckman in the 39 minute of the game. Örjan Björk took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Björk in the 46th minute of play. Wiktor Ekström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Örjan Björk was the one to do the kick off. After 50 minutes, Júlio Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsbro Flåsegutter and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Åsbro Flåsegutter's Júlio Castro got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Örjan Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wiktor Ekström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Wiktor Ekström made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Åsbro Flåsegutter's Kent Ahlquist was substituted for Jonas Lundin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 68th minute of play forced Åsbro Flåsegutter's goalkeeper Wiktor Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
