Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morris Zemp in the 35th minute of play. Peter Sparks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo De Jong in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teo De Jong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Teo De Jong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, one of Mexico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Miradeses FC a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teo De Jong, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. 1-0. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Miradeses FC's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Sparks came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Peter Sparks threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Miradeses FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mexico's Alberto Tafalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Peter Sparks despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Teo De Jong scored 2-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peter Sparks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peter Sparks. That made the score 2-2 after 85 minutes of play. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Mexico booed when Miradeses FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball.
