With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Club Atlético Temperley's Rolando Lopez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Pitin, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 15th minute. It was a brilliant solo performance by Club Atlético Temperley's Joel Pitin when he shot the ball into the net to 1-0 in the 17th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaston Laurendi in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 96 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Temperley's Rolando Lopez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Temperley.
