The crowd rose to their feet as Gladiadores's Gabrie-Alejandro Maldini slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. In the 12th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Pereyra hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Daniel Urbasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Marciano Pettinelli hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Urbasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gladiadores's Daniel Urbasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 29th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blas Beila to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Urbasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Pettinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Daniel Urbasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite this Daniel Urbasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Gladiadores getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Pablo Innocenzio hit a great ball. In the 85th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
