The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Peru's Liu Xing Qiang threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Noboa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Erwin Jadamowitz came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Julian Murillo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Trezzano Sul Naviglio AFC's Christian Bulla was substituted for Quique Branca. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
