Nytäppet Fc's Andreas Giöck got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Nytäppet Fc getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jonas Sjöberg hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the game, Jonas Sjöberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nytäppet Fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Nytäppet Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dick Strandberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Nytäppet Fc getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jonas Sjöberg hit a great ball. Frank Wahlnäs got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Andreas Giöck. Nytäppet Fc's Dick Strandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Ivar Pihlberg put in a rough tackle. In the 33rd minute, one of Nytäppet Fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nytäppet Fc. 36 minutes into the match, Nytäppet Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dick Strandberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Frank Wahlnäs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nytäppet Fc and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Nytäppet Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Wahlnäs to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dick Strandberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 48 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dick Strandberg. Nytäppet Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kalle Barck was the one to do the kick off. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nytäppet Fc's Dick Strandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 58th minute of play. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dick Strandberg having to make a save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dick Strandberg having to interfere. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kalle Barck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Nytäppet Fc's Agne Engman got a free kick in the 69th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Björn Björk threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Alex Chicote quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Per Anundsson came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Nytäppet Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Anundsson couldn't finish the play. Kalle Barck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Ragnar Söderström hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Venezuela had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
