When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Björn Holm sped through PGE FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Merexildo. Gil Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kuno Friedrich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. PGE FC's Rolando Merexildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Ånger in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Saturnino Ospin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute of the match Leo Nordin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Merexildo skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugen Barbăroșie in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Merexildo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lorenzo Bonifaco's late challenge caught a Gräskungarnas FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
