If Ahmet Ege Kerimhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 5 minutes of play, FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iker Casillas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbert Varga in the 9th minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Gordiani were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after FENERBAHÇE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rab Uba took the corner. Rab Uba made a great header on Villa Gordiani's corner, it was just that FENERBAHÇE's Mondi Muslera managed to reach the ball for a save. Mondi Muslera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Bergman in the 15th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Marrone. 17 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Varga came free, but Iker Casillas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FENERBAHÇE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ali Kağan Özerek in the 18th minute. It was a well-played corner which Greger Andberg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fabrizio Canzano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Mondi Muslera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Ege Kerimhan. Amos Ruggeri got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rab Uba. If Róbert Varga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. Amos Ruggeri got a throw-in 50 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Otang Irawan. Amos Ruggeri made in the 53rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Franco Cacciatore. Róbert Varga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amos Ruggeri got a throw-in 59 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rab Uba. The audience was convinced that Róbert Varga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iker Casillas was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After 85 minutes, Róbert Varga made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. FENERBAHÇE's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
