Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in PGE FC's zone, Natã de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Merexildo came out of the goal and Natã de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bartolo Leoiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Leoiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Iker Casillas made a huge save. Rolando Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã de Salles in the 42nd minute of play. Fabrizio Canzano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arrigo Marrone to strike the kick off in the second half. Iker Casillas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes PGE FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Odon. Villa Gordiani's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
