Róbert Varga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Remus Marchiș made a huge save. Remus Marchiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinito Merodo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remus Marchiș made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Róbert Varga sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the minerul -MM- defense, Miroslaw Nieuzyla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remus Marchiș. The minerul -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remus Marchiș should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute Róbert Varga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Marchiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. minerul -MM-'s Remus Marchiș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Varga in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match, Quinito Merodo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Remus Marchiș was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE booed when minerul -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Eftimescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remus Marchiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Varga in the 29th minute of the match. Quinito Merodo came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Remus Marchiș could save by the left post. FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, minerul -MM-'s Sandu Brânzaru got a free kick in the 37th minute. FENERBAHÇE's attentive Patryk Domaracki managed to snatch the ball when Nicodim Gabor made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. Remus Marchiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinito Merodo in the 42nd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, FENERBAHÇE's Victor Hugo Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Remus Marchiș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viorel Zgîrţa was the one to do the kick off. Remus Marchiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Varga, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Leontin Cartiș's late challenge caught a FENERBAHÇE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leontin Cartiș helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th match minute, minerul -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Cartiș to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FENERBAHÇE fully deserved thier win.
