Kyriakos Matsikidis was a little too slow when Natã de Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 11th minute, Fabrizio Canzano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kyriakos Matsikidis. The goal made the score 2-0. Babbis Konstantinoulis was slow to take the kick. During this time Kolopetinitsa's players had a chance to rest. In the 19th minute, Anfilogino Trombatore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iker Casillas came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Kolopetinitsa's 史景庭. But to his dismay, 史景庭 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kyriakos Matsikidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Bergman in the 26th minute of play. Otang Irawan hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kolopetinitsa getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Babbis Konstantinoulis hit a great ball. Amos Ruggeri kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Villa Gordiani made a substitution. Franco Cacciatore replaced Ciro Esposito. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 史景庭 made a kick off. Kyriakos Matsikidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ove Bergman's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 61 played minutes Villa Gordiani got a freekick which was hit by Ove Bergman. Diogenis Kastras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kyriakos Matsikidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Bergman in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ove Bergman in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kyriakos Matsikidis saved Kolopetinitsa from getting behind. Kolopetinitsa's Kyriakos Matsikidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Bergman in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Arrigo Marrone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kyriakos Matsikidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Kyriakos Matsikidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ove Bergman's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. When Villa Gordiani's Ove Bergman in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kolopetinitsa's goalie prevented a goal. Kyriakos Matsikidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ove Bergman's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Konstantinos Kazantzis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Iker Casillas made a huge save. Iker Casillas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konstantinos Kazantzis in the 86th minute. Ove Bergman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kyriakos Matsikidis having to make a save. When Fabrizio Canzano, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 88 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Kyriakos Matsikidis was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Villa Gordiani's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Otang Irawan in the 96th minute. Villa Gordiani's Otang Irawan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kyriakos Matsikidis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kolopetinitsa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villa Gordiani.
