After taking down the ball on FENERBAHÇE's corner Ali Kağan Özerek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Everardo Ado quite easily take care of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Varga came free, but Everardo Ado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Algarrobo's Everardo Ado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinito Merodo in the 25th minute of play. Quinito Merodo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Everardo Ado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, FENERBAHÇE's Róbert Varga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The FENERBAHÇE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FENERBAHÇE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
