Kant Spel charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kant Spel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ronny Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Kant Spel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Casillas. Villa Gordiani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kant Spel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. BENA FK's Kant Spel got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kant Spel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iker Casillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kant Spel in the 19th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Natã de Salles could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Ronny Sundström however easily saved by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Villa Gordiani's Natã de Salles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ronny Sundström. That made the score 1-1 after 26 minutes of play. In the 32nd minute, Kant Spel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Villa Gordiani's Ove Bergman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 45th minute, Fedai Oktan made a precise shot to the right of Iker Casillas. Villa Gordiani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Villa Gordiani made a substitution. Arrigo Marrone replaced Natã de Salles. BENA FK made a substitution. Gustaf Sjögren replaced Ola Utter. Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedai Oktan in the 54th minute of play. Ronny Sundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Bergman in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, BENA FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Bergman came free, but Ronny Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kant Spel hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Fedai Oktan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iker Casillas having to make a save. Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Villa Gordiani from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, BENA FK's goal looked a bit too open when Otang Irawan came free, but Ronny Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrizio Canzano kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Bergman in the 81st minute of play forced BENA FK's goalkeeper Ronny Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, BENA FK's Anthon Åström got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Villa Gordiani booed when BENA FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Söder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iker Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kant Spel in the 88th minute of play. There was no doubt that Villa Gordiani were the better team. Villa Gordiani's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
