But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Giraldo couldn't finish the play. After 7 minutes of play, san isidro's Aríel Etchegaray made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Augusto Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evelio Gagriel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Augusto Pinho having to make a save. 15 minutes into the game, san isidro's Evelio Gagriel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Augusto Pinho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The supporters of san isidro booed when Dionisius Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dionisius Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave san isidro the free kick. Ambrosio Viator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Pinho having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Dionisius Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Giraldo came free, but José Augusto Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aríel Etchegaray might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Augusto Pinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aríel Etchegaray ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Ambrosio Viator ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Augusto Pinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Aybars Ecemiş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. José Augusto Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, san isidro's José Augusto Pinho threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Placido Nazario, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Dionisius Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. After taking down the ball on san isidro's corner Cristo Neto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and José Augusto Pinho quite easily take care of the ball. san isidro's Mieszko Bierfass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfredo Ferraz in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Cristo Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The san isidro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Rene Giraldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Augusto Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Evelio Gagriel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
