The Villa Gordiani fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Del Vecchio should have stopped the shot. Ciro Del Vecchio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Monteiro in the 66th minute of the match. Ercole Iachini kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. When Albertinho Berger came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the União dos 7 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertinho Berger couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naci Cabezon in the 91st minute of play forced Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Ciro Del Vecchio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Del Vecchio was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Luís Gustavo Monteiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Gustavo Monteiro really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. The Villa Gordiani fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. União dos 7 FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
