Natã de Salles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Vítor Ramos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristiano Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Madonna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Alex Madonna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlindo Luz in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Grêmio Prudente had played much better football throughout.
