The audience was convinced that Arlindo Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Gaskon was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Andy Strömberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Bastian got free with José Vítor Ramos in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Cristiano Recife left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Recife in the 31st minute of play forced BAIRES's goalkeeper Leo Gaskon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Grêmio Prudente's Nicolas Mendes to fire away a dangerous shot which Leo Gaskon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Arlindo Luz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of BAIRES's Leo Gaskon. Leo Gaskon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristiano Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. After 47 minutes of play, Grêmio Prudente's Cristiano Recife made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leo Gaskon was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Recife was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Abelardo Ermengol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BAIRES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Prudente the free kick. In the 56th minute, Abelardo Ermengol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Arlindo Luz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 68th of the match, Cristiano Recife tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Leo Gaskon got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 75th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Arlindo Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Prudente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Grêmio Prudente's Arlindo Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Grêmio Prudente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Luz to maneuver through the defense.
