The referee ignored River Ctes's protests and gave Nemesio Segio a yellow card for diving instead. Nemesio Segio hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Santo Maura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nico Valadares was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Santo Maura capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Santo Maura really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The River Ctes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The River Ctes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascual Berdaitz should have stopped the shot. When Santo Maura came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the River Ctes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santo Maura couldn't finish the play. Robustiano Rico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Nico Valadares made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Tabb got free with Nico Valadares in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when João Vítor Passos made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luís Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Pascual Berdaitz made a huge save. With a little luck, River Ctes's Pascual Berdaitz got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dionisius Futebol Clube's João Vítor Passos got a free kick in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, João Vítor Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dionisius Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but João Vítor Passos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
