An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Moreno in the 24th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Enio Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandrinho Sabóia hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jereba 4EVER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hudson Sergipano was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra do Interior's players had a chance to rest. Paulo Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maicon Trevisan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Jereba 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Maicon Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, João Pedro Moreno took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Allan Varela to make any attempt to save it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Godoi to make the kick off. Maicon Trevisan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Godoi in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Godoi got free with Maicon Trevisan in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Jereba 4EVER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maicon Trevisan should have stopped the shot. Palestra do Interior's Reynaldo Sena was substituted for Vitório Lago. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Celsinho Vidal got a free kick in the 75th minute. Maicon Trevisan was a little too slow when Percival Cruz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-2. Percival Cruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maicon Trevisan having to make a save. Percival Cruz came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maicon Trevisan could save by the left post. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy de Barros in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Percival Cruz in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maicon Trevisan saved Jereba 4EVER from getting behind. 93 minutes into the game, Niclas Danielsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra do Interior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jereba 4EVER the free kick. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Niclas Danielsson hit a great ball.
