Paulo Godoi started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Evripidis Picoulas got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Chiriloaie, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute Luisinho Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardo Arruda hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximenez Cayuso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Ekzema F.V.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hudson Sergipano took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Godoi in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ximenez Cayuso saved Ekzema F.V. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lisandro Piearres in the 18th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Chiriloaie, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 22nd play minutes Lisandro Piearres shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Allan Varela and just under the crossbar into goal. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palestra do Interior reached it. The audience was convinced that Lisandro Piearres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Allan Varela was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The Ekzema F.V. fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Ekzema F.V.'s Lisandro Piearres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 35 minutes into the match, Lisandro Piearres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Piearres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Piearres in the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute Florin Chiriloaie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Ekzema F.V. made a substitution. Alexandre Carrasqueira replaced Florin Chiriloaie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Piearres to make the kick off. With a little luck, Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela got control of the ball when Alexandre Carrasqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Apolo Enaut hit a great ball. Luisinho Toscano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Allan Varela made a huge save. After 60 minutes of play, Ekzema F.V.'s Alexandre Carrasqueira made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allan Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Palestra do Interior's Niclas Danielsson was substituted for Hudson Sergipano. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ekzema F.V.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niclas Danielsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Palestra do Interior's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Niclas Danielsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ekzema F.V.'s Ximenez Cayuso did a great save. Apolo Enaut's late challenge caught a Palestra do Interior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Apolo Enaut helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Enaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Carrasqueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Allan Varela. That made the score 0-6 in the 73 minute of play. Palestra do Interior's Percival Cruz was substituted for Paulo Godoi. Ximenez Cayuso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Cruz in the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Moreno came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percival Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ximenez Cayuso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Allan Varela made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Alexandre Carrasqueira sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Ekzema F.V.'s zone, Percival Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ximenez Cayuso came out of the goal and Percival Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, Ekzema F.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Arruda to maneuver through the defense. If Percival Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 played minutes Ekzema F.V. got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Moreno.
