Wiliam Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 12 minutes Academia B.F.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Salvador Gisbert heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 14th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primo Sans in the 17th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd match minute, Academia B.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Wiliam Carioca hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. After 55 played minutes Academia B.F. got a freekick which was hit by Primo Sans. Primo Sans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. In the 57th minute Primo Sans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Cyril Reynal got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After 64 minutes, Gustavo Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academia B.F. and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Primo Sans came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Academia B.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Primo Sans couldn't finish the play. Academia B.F. made a substitution. Michel Totti replaced Primo Sans. Academia B.F. made a substitution. João Francisco Fontes replaced Wiliam Carioca. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 73 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Vicente Catarinense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 78th minute, João Francisco Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Guillermo Mariano in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Academia B.F.'s Lauro Quirino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Totti in the 82nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Michel Totti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Academia B.F.'s João Francisco Fontes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Mariano in the 89 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Totti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Cyril Reynal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Catarinense skillfully saved the ball. Vicente Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute. Academia B.F.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
