Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Fonso in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 7th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th match minute, Club Ibiza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beliran Poblaciones to maneuver through the defense. Rene Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 12th minute of play. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bruno Fonso sent off a good shot on target. Club Ibiza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cassius Byrne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Diego Bradley made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Ibiza's Beliran Poblaciones. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Diego Bradley hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rene Higuita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cassius Byrne showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. Bruno Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Rene Higuita in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Ibiza's Rene Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Baker in the 95th minute of play. The Club Ibiza fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
