The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İrfan Altıncığlu in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilen Zabalo was slow to take the kick. During this time Osmanlı İmparatorluğu's players had a chance to rest. In the 30th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yunus-Emre Balcik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Maura made in the 51st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Emrah Öztay. İrfan Altıncığlu took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aybars Çokman, made in the 59th minute of the game. In the 61st minute, Freddy Maura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yunus-Emre Balcik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 63rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yunus-Emre Balcik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu made a substitution. Richard Rodrigues replaced İrfan Altıncığlu. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafael Gallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The Osmanlı İmparatorluğu support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
