Lennart Juhlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Ludwig Hägg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saint Glenn Gothenburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Lennart Juhlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Hägg in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Ludwig Hägg notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Hägg in the 32nd minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Ludwig Hägg made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Ludwig Hägg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ludwig Hägg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 44th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Saint Glenn Gothenburg booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Hägg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lennart Juhlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludwig Hägg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ludwig Hägg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ludwig Hägg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Dawid Watarz was substituted for Demesio Faxardo. The supporters of Saint Glenn Gothenburg booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Ludwig Hägg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. After 82 minutes of play, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Ludwig Hägg made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dawid Watarz hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Juhlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Saint Glenn Gothenburg's Ludwig Hägg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Hägg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Saint Glenn Gothenburg.
