A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luca Espinar hit a great ball. Talha İstanbul was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Talha İstanbul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Stig-Åke Benet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Talha İstanbul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito Leite in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. In the 27th minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Navarro was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Vito Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vito Leite really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Diguinho Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. After 34 minutes, Esteban Carvallo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Cöpacabana FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 34 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. In the 35th match minute, Cöpacabana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Berger to maneuver through the defense. Fabrício Berger made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Diguinho Martins immediately put the ball in play. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Åke Benet in the 40th minute. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Åke Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Cöpacabana FC's Vito Leite slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 3-0 after 45 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Cöpacabana FC's Dobromir Brudnicki was substituted for Stig-Åke Benet. In the 57th match minute, Cöpacabana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Gentza to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dobromir Brudnicki in the 59th minute of the match. Cöpacabana FC's Dagoberto Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Sancho in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Dobromir Brudnicki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. Huang Jian Feng kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobromir Brudnicki in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Vito Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Dobromir Brudnicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Dobromir Brudnicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dagoberto Loureiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmundo Espiga slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 92nd minute. In the 98th minute Dobromir Brudnicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cöpacabana FC.
