Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Abel Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Benet came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stig-Åke Benet had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig-Åke Benet went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Vito Leite received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Vito Leite slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 16th minute. Stig-Åke Benet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cöpacabana FC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Cöpacabana FC's Vito Leite looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Stig-Åke Benet capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stig-Åke Benet really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Vito Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cöpacabana FC's Talha İstanbul slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 6-0 after 32 minutes of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Cöpacabana FC's Vito Leite. But to his dismay, Vito Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Harald Boman might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harald Boman ran back to his position shaking his head. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Talha İstanbul came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, Cöpacabana FC's Vito Leite made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cöpacabana FC made a substitution. Dobromir Brudnicki replaced Stig-Åke Benet. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vito Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alexander Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alexander Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cöpacabana FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Diguinho Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Cöpacabana FC's Vito Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Harald Boman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cöpacabana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Harald Boman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Angelino Gentza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Leite in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Vito Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. Dobromir Brudnicki scored 11-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Boman in the 87th minute of play. A hard and well directed shot from Talha İstanbul led 89 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 12-0. After 96 played minutes Cöpacabana FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Berger. Cöpacabana FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
