Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Zeng Ting Xing. But to his dismay, Zeng Ting Xing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dragomir Marchovski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Carlos Sueiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Sueiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Dragomir Marchovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 18th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Sueiro got free with Rolando Noboa in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dragomir Marchovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Zeng Ting Xing tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Milagros Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Milagros Fraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dragomir Marchovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Peru's Anthony Alvarado got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Dragomir Marchovski. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Luz Tejedor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dragomir Marchovski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th minute, Ambrossi Gigante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Peru's Luz Tejedor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Dragomir Marchovski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Union Y Progreso F.C. from getting a goal against them. After 65 minutes Union Y Progreso F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. When Julian Murillo got free in front of the goal in the 66th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dragomir Marchovski was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Dragomir Marchovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 70th minute of the match. Peru were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Union Y Progreso F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santiago Meruendano went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 89th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Mina to maneuver through the defense. The Union Y Progreso F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
