Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Peru's Julian Murillo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Hartz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Hartz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Terri Moco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Hartz saved A.A. Cachila from getting behind. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Jonas Orlo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Terri Moco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jonas Orlo was slow to take the kick. During this time A.A. Cachila's players had a chance to rest. A very nice done corner allowed Higinio Brun to score against Rolando Noboa in Peru's goal. 1-0 after 25 minutes. Gustavo Hartz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes A.A. Cachila's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that A.A. Cachila's Gustavo Hartz managed to reach the ball for a save. Gustavo Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milagros Fraga in the 32nd minute of play. If Jeff Albertson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, A.A. Cachila's Cesar Cordarrel got a free kick in the 35th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as A.A. Cachila's Terri Moco slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Terri Moco got free with Rolando Noboa in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 44th minute of play. After 45 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Terri Moco in the 52nd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Terri Moco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Hartz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Hartz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Hartz made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. A.A. Cachila's Gustavo Hartz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Cachila from getting a goal against them. A.A. Cachila made a substitution. Rodrigo Astudillo replaced Terri Moco. A.A. Cachila's Ulises Elia was substituted for Jonas Orlo. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Hartz was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Gustavo Hartz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 89th minute of play. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Astudillo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
