The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Erlantz was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Alfred Pawelczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Alfred Pawelczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Pawelczyk got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Alfred Pawelczyk put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. 38 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's Alfred Pawelczyk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uruguay's Jorge Sainz got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Jorge Sainz off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Alfred Pawelczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cura del Futbol's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfred Pawelczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Alfred Pawelczyk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Pawelczyk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Alfred Pawelczyk might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred Pawelczyk ran back to his position shaking his head. Cura del Futbol's Gogo Anaya managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jaime Cazalla in the 74 minute of the game. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Calisto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eriberto Erlantz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 78th minute. After 80 minutes of play, Cura del Futbol's Alfred Pawelczyk made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfred Pawelczyk scored 6-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cura del Futbol's Eriberto Erlantz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Cura del Futbol from getting a goal against them. Uruguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Cazalla in the 93rd minute. After 97 played minutes Cura del Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Gergori.
