When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Diderik Pepping sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. In the 17th minute, Maximilian Viklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Aurelio Malatesta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, volibears's Abdulkadir Sungun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 32 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave volibears the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob van der Valk in the 40th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Abdulkadir Sungun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, volibears's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abdulkadir Sungun, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Maximilian Viklund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Abeita came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Malatesta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Camilo Gaos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximilian Viklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute of the match Tomas Illescas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Malatesta skillfully saved the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Abdulkadir Sungun came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Malatesta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 85th minute. Abdulkadir Sungun got in the 86th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Ferrant handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of volibears:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. volibears:s Aurelio Malatesta showed great skill when he stopped Tomas Illescas:s penalty. Abdulkadir Sungun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. volibears fully deserved thier win.
