In the 14th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Stellenbosch:s goal. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Stellenbosch. Mao Zhen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 3-1. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flóki Cabezudo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flóki Cabezudo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flóki Cabezudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Flóki Cabezudo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat was substituted for Flóki Cabezudo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Bernat to make the kick off. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Bernat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Bernat in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 92 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Bernat came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stellenbosch's Luca Savini got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Stellenbosch's Osvaldo Bernat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Bernat went, in the 100th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-1 was the resulting score. Stellenbosch's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
