The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Manzanares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orlando Tafalla made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Santino Seco. Ulisses Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roneixon Siqueira to make the kick off.
