The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso Oinatz was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Alvaro Aquino hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes Chorroarín got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Aquino. After 66 minutes, Anthony Alvarado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The audience was convinced that Rafael Gallo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Narciso Oinatz was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 87 minutes in the game, Timoteo Arotza dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 92nd minute Eustacio Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Arotza came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Oinatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Tenorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Peru were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
