After 7 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. 9 minutes into the game, Bruno Sauveur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Sauveur in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Rıfat Sehriyar in the 16th minute of play. Loco Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Bruno Sauveur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Edgard Bottin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loco Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 25th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Sauveur in the 35th minute. Bruno Sauveur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Sauveur. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sportivo Mela Banco reached it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Rıfat Sehriyar in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
