After having played for 14 minutes, Abraham Alguacil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abraham Alguacil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Vilaça in the 25th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alp Arslan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. After 28 played minutes Sikilaçi got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Vilaça. Dylan Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Tahsin Rahmi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Alguacil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emil Malewicz. Sikilaçi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alex Cambeiro hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Berganza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Emil Malewicz managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Panama's Abraham Alguacil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sikilaçi's Emil Malewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 59th minute of play. Tahsin Rahmi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Cambeiro to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Panama booed when Sikilaçi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alp Arslan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Carita to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sikilaçi getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ahmet Hamdi Ruhsat hit a great ball. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Vilaça in the 84th minute of the match. Alp Arslan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Isidoro Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
