Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Champions Iasi's Waldemar Gierlach started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Champions Iasi's Stefan Pieters got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Champions Iasi's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Broderick Ceney came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Stefan Pieters kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Gierlach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldemar Gierlach. 31 minutes into the game, Champions Iasi's Waldemar Gierlach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 34 minutes, Eusebiu Crăciunaș mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Champions Iasi and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Crăciunaș to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Broderick Ceney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Harri Takavirta hit a great ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Broderick Ceney in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harri Takavirta made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eusebiu Crăciunaș however managed to control. In the 58thth minute of the game Waldemar Gierlach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Gierlach in the 62nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Gierlach in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67thth minute of the game Stefan Pieters who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Venezuela's attentive Jonathan Venegas managed to snatch the ball when Eusebiu Crăciunaș made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Broderick Ceney made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Champions Iasi's Jacinto Romero. But to his dismay, Jacinto Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Harri Takavirta hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Gierlach in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Gierlach. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Champions Iasi.
