Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Radomil Mroczynski took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Boris Marsac who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Galapagos Islands FC's corner Boris Marsac fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Feliks Domaracki kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Galapagos Islands FC's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthon Karlsson came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anthon Karlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 18th minute of play. Aaron Sjöström kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Anthon Karlsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Mroczynski in the 30th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Radomil Mroczynski sent off a good shot on target. Anthon Karlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Radomil Mroczynski came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aleksander Winszman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Anthon Karlsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Özgün Hatip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthon Karlsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Mroczynski in the 81st minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgün Hatip in the 86th minute of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Galapagos Islands FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
