Özgün Hatip could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Galapagos Islands FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niklas Möller in the 11th minute. The corner led Galapagos Islands FC's Radomil Mroczynski to a score. 2-0 in the 12th minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Radomil Mroczynski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomil Mroczynski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anthon Karlsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Anthon Karlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Anthon Karlsson. Galapagos Islands FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgün Hatip in the 30th minute of play. Özgün Hatip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Mina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galapagos Islands FC the free kick. The supporters of Galapagos Islands FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Åström got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Galapagos Islands FC's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Radomil Mroczynski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Mroczynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anthon Karlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 57thth minute of the game Sigvart Biegel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Sigvart Biegel sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Mroczynski in the 66th minute of play. Sigvart Biegel took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anthon Karlsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Sigvart Biegel scored 5-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 81 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anthon Karlsson having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Anthon Karlsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 88th minute of the match Galapagos Islands FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niklas Möller ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rešo Orte made a great header on Galapagos Islands FC's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. 89 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Radomil Mroczynski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Radomil Mroczynski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galapagos Islands FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Radomil Mroczynski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, Özgün Hatip had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Özgün Hatip was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Galapagos Islands FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
