Cedrick Francoeur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cedrick Francoeur was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Cezary Czeszyk kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cedrick Francoeur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Han Wei Yuan in the 32nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, FC Catalonia's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Cedrick Francoeur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Cedrick Francoeur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Han Wei Yuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Han Wei Yuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cezary Czeszyk fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Catalonia's protests and gave Cezary Czeszyk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, FC Catalonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Czeszyk to maneuver through the defense. Cedrick Francoeur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Catalonia's Cedrick Francoeur. Cedrick Francoeur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cedrick Francoeur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cedrick Francoeur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Jenaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Catalonia's Angelo Jenaro. But to his dismay, Angelo Jenaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Lautaro Mancebo in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cedrick Francoeur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 69 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. FC Catalonia's Cedrick Francoeur tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Damazy Wielkopolski hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Catalonia booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Catalonia's Czeslaw Piczak was substituted for Cezary Czeszyk. In the 81st minute Angelo Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cedrick Francoeur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 85th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cedrick Francoeur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cedrick Francoeur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
