Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nikola Krstović started the match with the kick off. Adam Hrdina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Escobar in the 4th minute of the match. Sarracino Lastras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 6th minute of play. After taking down the ball on AFK Petržalka's corner Dušan Ferenčík fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sarracino Lastras quite easily take care of the ball. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Silvester Jendrišák sped through ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sarracino Lastras. 12 minutes into the match, Nikola Krstović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sarracino Lastras. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikola Krstović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Adam Hrdina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Alacuart in the 19th minute of play. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Escobar in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina got control of the ball when Julio Alacuart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hami Tükel hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Guido Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adam Hrdina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 42 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sarracino Lastras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Krstović in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sarracino Lastras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Nikola Krstović came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Krstović couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikola Krstović got free with Sarracino Lastras in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Escobar came free, but Adam Hrdina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Guido Escobar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adam Hrdina. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Nikola Krstović managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFK Petržalka's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikola Krstović was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sarracino Lastras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO made a substitution. Baudilio Andres replaced Guido Escobar. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO made a substitution. Rey Northe replaced Julio Alacuart. After some careless play in the AFK Petržalka defense, Rey Northe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Hrdina. The AFK Petržalka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Hrdina should have stopped the shot. 3-3 became the score in the 73rd minute when Nikola Krstović elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nikola Krstović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sarracino Lastras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baudilio Andres in the 81st minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute, Rey Northe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adam Hrdina was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. Sarracino Lastras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alek Justus in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Atilano Marcones got a free kick in the 88th minute. With an all-out effort, AFK Petržalka's Sarracino Lastras threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nikola Krstović, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Sarracino Lastras successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rey Northe in the 94th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Nikola Krstović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarracino Lastras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

AFK Petržalka's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
