A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ernesto Natanael made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Rejunte de perros defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Natanael. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto Natanael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Rejunte de perros's Ernesto Natanael got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rejunte de perros's Jorge Maurin got a free kick in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with Ernesto Natanael in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rejunte de perros's Ernesto Natanael proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Rejunte de perros from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
