A nice corner shot did that Sultan Tingkir got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 22nd play minute Aryo Febrian came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 1-0. In the 25thth minute of the game Rully Lasut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Timotius Husodo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Java the free kick. The supporters of Java booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 38th minute. With splendid footwork Rully Lasut arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 39th minute. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Java was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coky Patha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Rully Lasut made the kick off in the second half. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Rully Lasut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rully Lasut's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. When Java's Rully Lasut in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 79 played minutes Java got a freekick which was hit by Coky Patha. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Java was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rully Lasut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ari Sapulette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Ari Sapulette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. Ari Sapulette took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. After a rather tough play, Java's Coky Patha got a free kick in the 91st minute. The Java fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Java's Rully Lasut looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Java fully deserved thier win.
