Esteban Carvallo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gusztáv Horváth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute of play. Norbert Gyarmati charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Honduras's Sebastian Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gusztáv Horváth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ádám Újváry scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Ádám Újváry sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zsolt Medve went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute of the game Bánk Lehoczky made a throw-in which Ádám Újváry played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ádám Újváry in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute, Emanuel Ocampo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zsolt Medve took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Zsolt Medve's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 74th minute of the game.
