Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Hoffmann in the 12th minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Pedrinho Hoffmann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Lacasa came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedrinho Hoffmann slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Oswaldo Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrinho Hoffmanns short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Márcio Cruz's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Atlético-PR got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Cruz. Oswaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oswaldo Paraíba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedrinho Hoffmann was the one to do the kick off. Atlético-PR's Oswaldo Paraíba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Atlético-PR from getting a goal against them. Samuel de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Atlético-PR made a substitution. Cacá Breckenfeld replaced Eugênio Azevedo. Atlético-PR's Hong Jian Fan was substituted for Pedrinho Hoffmann. After a rather tough play, Atlético-PR's Samuel de Souza got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 81st minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. A collision led to Atlético-PR getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Samuel de Souza hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oswaldo Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ren Ang Ming kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
